PM Mitsotakis strongly criticises SYRIZA's 'unacceptable' stance

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis sternly attacked main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras from the town of Marathon

on Wednesday, where he met with citizens and friends of ruling New Democracy (ND).

Mitsotakis said SYRIZA's decision to abstain from all voting in parliament was "sad and unacceptable," and put it down to "fake bravado" for communication's sake, saying that Tsipras with his statements on Tuesday was "openly showing contempt for parliament and the constitutional order".

He said that the main opposition chose this direction because it had nothing to say to the voters and called SYRIZA's stance "inconceivable activism".

Mitsotakis urged Tsipras to "be serious and come to talk with real arguments".
