Mitsotakis: Today Greece is a much stronger country, with greater confidence
"We proved that our country has borders in the sea, the air and on land and that these borders should be guarded," New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said, while addressing the islanders of Lipsi on Monday.
"We have reduced to refugee-migrant flows to a minimum with a very significant impact on all the islands of the eastern Aegean and, at the same time, we effectively addressed Turkish revisionism. We strengthened our Armed Forces and have built strong alliances. Today, Greece is a much stronger country with greater confidence than in 2019," Mitsotakis underlined.
First of all, he said, "we want you to feel safe. Islandness is very important for our country but it also obliges us to meet your demands and expectations. Safety has many different aspects".
Mitsotakis pointed out the importance of economic growth, the creation of well paid jobs for young people and the provision of quality public health and education.
