Nine suspected traffickers from Pylos migrant boat shipwreck remanded in custody

Nine men accused as the traffickers responsible for the migrant boat than sank off Pylos have been remanded in custody, following a decision by the Kalamata public prosecutor and examining magistrate investigating the maritime tragedy, which led to scores of deaths and an unknown number still feared missing at sea.

The decision was made after a marathon process that began on Tuesday morning and was completed after 13 hours.
